Mark Vannier

Mark Vannier has been lucky enough to be involved with the Annoyance Theatre since 2006. He has written and performed in a number of original Annoyance productions such as Arm Soup, Bodyslam, Daredevilry, Hardcore Dad, Fancy Lads, and the always fun Grabass. He has also directed a number of shows here, including the holiday romp Frostbite and Salem! The Musical. He has performed or directed all over Chicago and in a number of festivals (Chicago Sketchfest, TBS Just For Laughs, Fringe Festivals in Cincinnati and Washington, D.C., etc.), as well as at the Comedy Central stage in Hollywood. Mark is a founding member of the video sketch group Sad On Vacation (www.sadonvacation.com). In addition to teaching and directing at the Annoyance, he also teaches and directs for the Second City Training Center’s writing program. He has a MFA in Fiction Writing from Southern Illinois University and has been teaching writing in various capacities for nine years.
