Making the Web Series

Gain the skills necessary to create, shoot, and edit your own web-series. Focusing on how to overcome real-world production challenges, you will refine the technical skills necessary to produce captivating (or at least palatable) video work, on a shoestring budget. The course will end with an exhibition of the pilot episode of each student's series.

NOTE: This class focuses on LIVE ACTION work, not animation.
The class is broken up into three sections:

• Pre-production - Refining ideas pragmatically, based on available resources. Common first-time film mistakes and how to avoid them.
• Shooting - Sound and light with real-world experience.
• Post-production - From Final Cut Pro and color correction to exporting and attainable distribution.

Class Requirements

If you do not have access to a laptop, camera, sound or lights, this class will teach you how to source that material for free or cheap.
