The Night The Music Got Killed

How The Big Bopper REALLY died.

Everyone has heard of The Day The Music Died – canonized by Don McLean in his song “American Pie.”

Now, The Annoyance reimagines the events surrounding the fateful night of February 3, 1959 when two young rockers and a middle-aged novelty song singer crashed into a cornfield near Mason City, Iowa. This confabulation focuses on the imaginary life details of the oft-overlooked J.P. Richardson, known professionally as "The Big Bopper".
